I graduated from the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading with a BSc (Hons) degree. Having trained in both Five Element Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I offer an integrated approach to treatment.
Five Element Acupuncture addresses a patient’s deepest constitutional imbalances, with an emphasis on emotional and ‘spirit’ level wellbeing, while TCM focuses more on physical health and the treatment of a wide range of illnesses. Combining these two approaches allows for truly holistic care, taking into account all aspects of a patient’s health and wellbeing. Treatment is not limited to addressing the main complaint, but also seeks to identify and treat underlying causes and related symptoms.
My clinical focus is on women’s and children’s health. I hold postgraduate qualifications in Gynaecology, Fertility, and Obstetrics, encompassing both male and female fertility. This includes supporting women from pre-conception—whether natural or through assisted reproductive techniques (ART and IVF)—through pregnancy, postnatal recovery, and menopause.
I have also gained postgraduate qualifications in Paediatrics and continue to receive regular mentoring from one of the UK’s leading paediatric acupuncturists, Rebecca Avern.
In addition, I am a certified Shōnishin acupuncturist, having had the privilege of training under Thomas Wernicke and Karin Kalbantner-Wernicke. This training is recognised by the Japanese Society for Paediatric Acupuncture (Nihon Shōni Hari Gakkai). Shōnishin is a non-invasive form of acupuncture developed specifically for children. Treatments are safe, gentle, and effective, making them especially suitable for sensitive or nervous children.
I am a member of the Acupuncture Childbirth Team London (ACT), a group of specialist acupuncturists dedicated to supporting women through fertility treatment, IVF, pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.
As part of my commitment to the local community, I volunteer at The Fountain Centre, a charity supporting cancer patients, their families, and carers. The centre is based within the St Luke’s Cancer Unit at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. It offers a calm and supportive environment, and I find this work deeply rewarding.
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), I adhere to strict Codes of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct, ensuring patients receive the highest standards of care.
